How to open eyes in a photo
A group shot from a dinner party or a school lineup: everyone's in place, the light is good, and exactly one person blinked. You can't retake it - the moment's gone. That's the main scenario here.
What the model does
It reconstructs the eyes from the rest of the face: the shape, the set, the direction of the gaze are built from what's visible in the photo plus a general understanding of how a face is put together. Light and shadow are matched to the shot so the edit doesn't look pasted in.
That comes with an honest limitation: these are plausible eyes, not the exact original ones. On most photos, nobody notices the difference, but someone who knows the face well sometimes senses that something's off.
How to improve the likeness
The main trick is to give the model a reference. If the same series has a shot where the person's eyes are open, attach it to the same conversation and ask the model to match it. The result gets noticeably closer to the original, because the model no longer has to guess the shape of the eyes.
